Where did it all begin?

After leaving school, I became a travel agent while I was deciding which career path I would like to take. 15 years, 2 children, a marriage and 2 dogs later, I was still a travel agent. I loved my job- meeting new people, talking about and exploring new destinations, cultures and sites. Everyday was different and exciting. Then came a global pandemic. What started as Covid 19 turned into a disastrous 2020 for the travel industry. Fortunately, being employed, I was offered the government furlough scheme, giving me a whole year at home with my two children. Despite facing the trials and tribulations of home schooling, lockdown provided me with an opportunity to reflect and re-evaluate my life. I wanted something fresh and exciting to get my teeth into. I wanted to be able to work the hours around my family life. I wanted to be my own boss. I wanted to bring some enjoyment and reunite communities.

Then came the idea of mobile mini-golf. With my husband’s carpentry background, I asked him to build a mini-golf course for me to hire out to people for various events. The idea soon became a reality and stepping out of my comfort zone after 15 long years felt nerve-wracking to say the least. I am not sure if I am brave or crazy, or both but I sure am looking forward to seeing where this journey will take me.
